The Rubber Duck Museum

ABOUT THE RUBBER DUCK MUSEUM

LuckyThe World's First and Only Historical Rubber Duck Museum

Our story

The Rubber Duck Museum started with one idea: create an experience that would bring people back to Point Roberts after the pandemic. While we were driving one day, Krystal said the words that set everything in motion — a rubber duck museum. It was immediate. I told her it was the best idea I had ever heard.

We began researching the history of rubber ducks and discovered far more than we expected. The story was deeper, stranger, and more fascinating than we imagined, and no one anywhere had ever turned it into a museum. So we decided we would.

We opened the world’s first and only historical Rubber Duck Museum in July 2024. It took off right away. Visitors loved it, families made special trips, and it quickly went viral through articles, podcasts, and Roadside America.

By late 2025, the museum had outgrown its home. We wanted to share the collection with more people and make it easier for our Canadian neighbors to visit. So in December 2025, we moved the museum to Tsawwassen Mills, giving it the space, visibility, and accessibility it deserved.

Today, the museum continues to grow, guided by the same idea that started it: create joy, spark curiosity, and celebrate the surprising history of the rubber duck.

“We hope this whimsical collection brings joy, sparks creativity, and reminds everyone of the simple pleasures of childhood.”
